One of the original eight cottages, the Johanna was named for Watervale’s first manager, Hanna Kraft. Centrally located on the main street in Watervale with a view of Lower Herring Lake. Guests can look forward to relaxing on the screened-in front porch on hot afternoons or enjoy the cozy living room with functional fireplace on chilly evenings.

Located right on the shores of Lower Herring Lake, the Johanna offers a ground floor master bedroom and bath. Upstairs there is another queen bedroom, a room with one twin bed and a room with three twin beds and a full bathroom. Decorated with many of Innkeeper Dori Turner’s personal treasures the Johanna also has a fireplace, a four-season porch and screened front porch.
