Hiking

Baldy

No Watervale stay is complete without a trip to Baldy-a sand dune rising 300 feet above Lake Michigan. The three-mile loop leads you through the woods, atop Mount Baldy and then back on the Lake Michigan beach to Watervale.

Other Paths

Green Point Dunes, Fruithave Preserve, Elberta Dunes, Arcadia Marsh and Upper Herring Lake Preserve are all located within a five-minute drive from Watervale.

Biking

Mountain bikers can ride the trails off St. Pierre just five miles south of Watervale or the North Country Trail located near Crystal Mountain Resort. The Betsie Valley Trail features 27 miles of paved trails that run from Frankfort to Thompsonville.

Golf

Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountains, The Heathlands, Pinecroft, Manistee National, Bear Lake Highlands, and Chestnut Hills are all located within a half-hour drive of Watervale.
